The Forward Foundation, Inc is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that makes all donations to us tax-deductible.

At our core, we serve individuals and families who are working toward stability, safety, and independence. Many of the people we support are navigating challenging transitions, recovering from difficult life events, or rebuilding their lives after major setbacks. Our goal is to meet each person where they are, understand their unique circumstances, and provide pathways toward long-term success.

Below are some of the communities we proudly support.

Individuals in Transitional Housing

We assist people currently living in temporary or short-term housing who need support securing permanent, stable homes. This includes those who have recently experienced homelessness, crisis situations, or sudden disruptions in their living arrangements.

Residents in Recovery Housing

We support individuals in sober living and recovery programs who are rebuilding their lives with stability, structure, and long-term wellness. Our services help them access essential resources and prepare for independent living.

Residential Assisted Living Clients

We work with adults who require supported living environments, helping them navigate benefits, connect with services, and maintain a safe and stable lifestyle.

Veterans

We proudly serve military veterans who may be facing housing challenges, health issues, employment barriers, or reintegration struggles. Our team helps veterans access the resources and support they deserve.

Young Adults Aging Out of Foster Care

We support young adults who are transitioning out of the foster care system and stepping into adulthood—often without family support. Our programs help them build stability, develop life skills, and find safe housing.

Individuals With Special Needs

We assist people with physical, developmental, or cognitive disabilities by helping them secure essential services, navigate resource systems, and maintain consistent support.

Clients Exiting Hospital Treatment Programs

We help individuals transitioning out of inpatient treatment—whether medical or mental health—by connecting them to stable housing, ongoing care, and supportive services to prevent gaps during recovery.

Re-Entry Individuals Leaving Incarceration

We support returning citizens re-entering the community after incarceration. Our team assists them with housing pathways, employment readiness, and access to re-entry resources that promote successful reintegration.

Individuals Living on Fixed SSI/Disability Income

We help adults who rely on limited or fixed income, such as SSI or disability benefits, by connecting them to affordable housing, essential services, and long-term support options.

Seasonal & Temporary Workers

We support temporary and seasonal workers who may lack stable housing or consistent access to community resources. Our programs help them stay connected, supported, and secure.

Military Personnel Working Off-Base

We serve active-duty service members living off-base who need assistance with housing stability, benefits navigation, or access to essential community support programs.

Traveling Nurses & Contract Healthcare Staff

We assist traveling medical professionals who frequently relocate and may need temporary housing support, resource navigation, or help accessing community services while they work away from home.

Our Commitment

No matter the background, circumstance, or challenge, we believe every person deserves access to safe housing, supportive services, and a path toward independence. We meet individuals with compassion, respect, and solutions tailored to their goals.
